Another 8 people die of coronavirus in Moldova

Chisinau, 24 May /MOLDPRES/ - The Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry informs about the registration of another 8 deaths triggered by COVID-19. So far, 6,994 cases of infection with the Coronavirus have been confirmed in Moldova, of which 874 in the Transnistrian region.

The health condition of the people infected is as follows: 288 – in serious condition (25 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus), 597 are in condition of medium seriousness and the other patients are in satisfactory condition.

Another 261 people have been treated, of whom 93 patients are from hospitals and 168 were undergoing home treatment, under the supervision of the family doctor.

A number of 1,481 cases of infection among health system employees have been confirmed in Moldova till present, of whom: 346 physicians, 575 medical assistants, 77 doctor’s or surgeon’s assistants, 20 pharmacists, 463 auxiliary staff employees.

There are 3,713 healed people in all.
