Moldovan president visits Chisinau-based hospital

Chisinau, 25 May /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon today visited the Valentin Ignatenco Municipal Clinical Hospital for Children, the presidential press service has reported.
The head of state discussed with the medical staff the present situation at the institution, as well as in the national health care system. Igor Dodon informed the interlocutors about the decreeing of the 2020 year as Year of the Medical Employee. The Moldovan president noted that the concerned decision implied the launch of more initiatives of backing the medical system, among which the doubling of the salary for all medical employees, improving the conditions for work and treatment, etc.
Igor Dodon awarded some medical employees who work at this hospital the Moldovan president’s Honorary Diploma, as a token of high appreciation of the devotion, professionalism and care provided to each patient, especially during the pandemic. The head of state wished everybody good health, perseverance and steadfastness in their not at all easy profession.
In the end, the president offered sincere thanks to the Bemol Moldovan company for the substantial assistance provided to endow the hospital with advanced medical equipment. It is about an electric coagulator and a surgical trolley, cardiologic monitors for the paediatrics section, a bio-destructive apparatus for the processing of medical waste, a dosimeter for the work of the X ray equipment, as well as furniture for the rooms for patients’ recreation and for several waiting rooms.
