Moldova's National Integrity Authority to verify MPs, cabinet members, judges, prosecutors

Chisinau, 26 May /MOLDPRES/ - The National Integrity Authority (ANI) will carry out priority controls for some categories of subjects of the declaring of the wealth and personal interests. ANI head Rodica Antoci signed an order to this effect today.  

The order sees compulsory ex-officio control of the annual declarations of wealth and personal interests for 2019 by: the Moldovan MPs, judges of the courts of all levels, the heads, deputy heads of the structures subordinated and civil servants of all levels, including from the subdivisions of the Chisinau city hall’s apparatus.   

Additionally, under the same order, decision-makers will carry out compulsory ex-officio controls of the annual declarations of wealth and personal interests, selected in the aleatory way, submitted in 2019 by: prosecutors of the prosecutor’s offices of all levels, Moldovan cabinet members, heads, deputy heads of districts, mayors, deputy mayors, praetors and deputy praetors of the local public authorities of all levels.   

The Integrity Inspectorate will submit the nominal lists of the subjects concerned to the ANI leadership for approval. Subsequently, these declarations of wealth and personal interests will be distributed in an aleatory way to integrity inspectors for carrying out the control, through the e-Integrity automated information system. ‘’Thus, a number of declarations of wealth and interests will be distributed to each integrity inspector.  Weekly, the integrity inspectors will report about the results of the controls on all declarations of wealth and personal interests assigned,’’ ANI sources said.

The National Integrity Authority will provide the public informing about the results of the controls and eventual infringements committed by subjects concerned.
