Almost 500 metres from building at Moldexpo centre burn

Chisinau, 26 May /MOLDPRES/ - Almost 500 metres from a building on the area of Moldexpo burned today morning. Twelve special vehicles and 60 firemen intervened to extinguish the fire.

According to the press service of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), 12 special vehicles with a strength of over 60 employees got involved in the extinguishing of the fire which broke out inside the building Casa Modernă (The Modern House) on the area of Moldexpo at about 9:00 morning. No person was hit. During the intervention, firemen evacuated two gas cylinders from the building’s roof.

According preliminary information, the fire hit an area of about 450-500 square metres and was extinguished at 12:06.
