Urban Bus Park in Chisinau to be renewed in September

Chisinau, 27 May /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau mayor Ion Ceban said that the 100 buses for Urban Bus Park could reach Moldova in late August, early September.

He noted that currently is being prepared the announcement of tender for procurement of vehicles for municipal public transport renovation.

He pointed out that the municipality will participate in the tender for the purchase of 18 articulated trolleybuses due in Riga, Latvia, but it will not offer a price higher than 300 thousand euros for a trolleybus. "It is about articulated trolleybuses that look good. We participate in the bidding conditions 280 000 starting price. We hope that this price does not rise. We are not willing to pay more ", he said.

He said that there is no discussion of a possible price increase for a trip on municipal public transport. He added that the price of a ticket will increase when municipal public transport is of good quality.
