Moldova to negotiate 70 million-euro- loan with CEB

Chisinau, 27 May /MOLDPRES/- Moldova will negotiate with the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) a loan agreement worth 70 million euros for the implementation of the project Emergency Response to COVID-19 and Support for micro, small and medium enterprises. A draft to this effect was approved by the parliamentary committee on foreign policy and European integration on Wednesday.
According to the document, the loan from Moldova will be negotiated by a government delegation led by Serghei Pușcuța, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance.
The project has two components: the health one worth 40 million euros and the support one - 30 million euros.
According to Moldovan government estimates, the financial resources under the loan will cover COVID-19 expenses in 2020-2022 budget period.
