Moldovan, Kyrgyz foreign affairs ministers discuss deepening of bilateral relations

Chisinau, 27 May /MOLDPRES/ - Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Oleg Tulea today had a phone discussion with Foreign Affairs Minister of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s press service has reported.

The officials reviewed the present stage of the Moldovan-Kyrgyz relations, putting emphasis on the turning to account of the present potential of cooperation in the fields of mutual interest, including the increasing of the commercial and economic exchanges and strengthening the bilateral legal framework.

In the context, the sides confirmed interest to hold the next meeting of the Moldovan-Kyrgyz intergovernmental commission for commercial and economic cooperation. Also, the officials highlighted the importance of promoting an active dialogue between the foreign affairs ministries and discussed the two countries’ interaction within international organizations.

A subject of the discussions represented the efforts of both states’ authorities nationally to combat the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
