Chisinau, 28 May /MOLDPRES/- For the first time, two wines made in Moldova were included in the Wine Book of Michelin restaurant in the South Korean capital, Seoul. Thus, Moldovan Wine has registered new successes internationally, and South Korea is the country that appreciates at the highest level the product of our national pride.
The new achievement registered by our country is due to the continuous efforts of winemakers gathered under the country brand Moldovan wine, A living legend, which are supported by the National Office of Vine and Wine (ONVV).
Success is becoming increasingly important as Asian countries, including South Korea, fall into the category of non-traditional export markets for bottled wines with high added value.
"Moldovan winemakers continue to conquer the Asian market. These days, the Jeonju Wine Culture Academy in Jeonju will organize the Moldovan Wine Club of Korea. The initiative belongs to academy director Hyeongmin Park, who is also the owner of a wine shop (Winegimont Wine Shop), which hosts Moldovan wines.
In late May, the well-known South Korean sommelier, Kibeom Song will hold a lecture dedicated to Moldovan wine at the University of Culture and Arts in Seoul, and will invite students to taste some Moldovan wines ", sources from ONVV said.
For the third year in a row, Moldovan winemakers will participate in the international competitions Daejeon International Wine Festival 2020 and Asia Wine Trophy 2020, due on 11-14 October 2020. They are part of the strategic development plan of the wine industry in the country, implemented by the National Vine and Wine Office.
