June 1 to be working day in Moldova

Chisinau, 28 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry today informed that June 1 would be working day this year.

According to the ministry, cabinet decisions were adopted in previous years, under which the day of 1 June was declared day off, with the day’s recovery on one of the Saturdays.

In 2020, because of the pandemic, the public sector employees are to recover 22 days declared days off, according to Instructions by the Commission for Emergency Situations.

Moldova is in emergency state in the public health sector through COVID-19 infection. The state is declared by the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission, through the Decision No 10 from 15 May 2020. In this context, the authorities call on the families with children to observe cautious measures: to avoid agglomerates public spaces, to observe the hygiene and social distance.
