Chisinau, 29 May /MOLDPRES/- The repair program for national and local public roads, worked out by the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure and approved by the government, was published in the Official Journal of Moldova today. The State Budget Law provides for the allocation of about 1.4 billion lei to achieve it.

The program was worked out under the State Budget Law for 2020 and includes two sub-programs. The subprogram for the repair of national public roads, for the implementation of which 250 million lei will be earmarked, provides for the capital repair of 86.3 km of roads. Over 1.1 billion lei were distributed for the subprogram on periodic repair and maintenance of national, local, communal roads and streets. The activities planned within this sub-program involve the improvement of 906 km of roads in about 900 localities in the country, the sectors are selected according to the proposals of the Local Public Authorities of level I.

The national public road repair program is based on the priority projects included in the Transport and Logistics Strategy for 2013-2020, roads in the priority network that are not part of international networks and for which the project documentation was previously developed.
