Chisinau, 29 May /MOLDPRES/ - The Civil Aviation Authority (AAC) has repeatedly asked the concessionaire Avia Invest Ltd company to present the cost basis of the tariffs for the airport services for 2020.
According to the Air Code, AAC verifies the correctness of the formation of the size of taxes for the airport services and air navigation.
The demands are made, in order to ensure the transparency at the application of airport tariffs and as a result of the recommendations set forth by the Court of Accounts, according to the Decision No 1 from 24 January 2020, On the approval of the audit report on the compliance of the completion and fulfillment of the provisions of the public-private partnership contract on granting the assets of the state enterprise, Chisinau International Airport.
The Civil Aviation Authority has earlier notified the law-enforcement bodies, following a refusal by concessionaire Avia Invest Ltd to present the cost basis for the airport tariffs. For their part, these bodies protocoled the contravention and submitted the file to court to impose the sanction.
The refusal triggers doubts as to the correctness of the formation of the size of taxes for the airport services by the Avia Invest Ltd company.
These monitoring actions, compulsory under the law, are aimed at bringing transparency into the process of formation and calculation of the airport tariffs applied by Avia Invest Ltd, ensuring the protection of the interests of the airport services’ users.
