Moldovan exports fell significantly

Chisinau, 17 June /MOLDPRES/- The National Statistics Bureau informs that exports of goods in April 2020 amounted to 149.8 million dollars, registering a significant decline compared to the previous month (-28.7%) and April 2019 (-30,5%).

According to data, in January-April 2020, exports of goods amounted to 824.8 million dollars, lower than that achieved in the corresponding period of 2019 by 13.0%.

Exports of goods to European Union countries amounted to 529.5 million dollars (down by 9.5% than in January-April 2019), holding a share of 64.2% of exports (61.7% - in January-April 2019).

The CIS countries were present in Moldova's exports with a share of 15.6% (in January-April 2019 - 14.7%), which corresponds to a value of 129 million dollars. Exports of goods to these countries decreased by 7.2%, compared to January-April 2019.
