Moldovan president has meeting with OSCE representative for Transnistrian settlement process

Chisinau, 17 June /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon today had a meeting with the special representative for the Transnistrian conflict settlement, Thomas Mayr-Harting, on a three-day working visit to Moldova. Attending the meeting was Head of the OSCE Mission in Moldova Claus Neukirch.

According to the presidential press service, the officials discussed a wide range of issues on the current agenda of the Transnistrian conflict settlement. In particular, the sides referred to problems on the free movement of Moldovan citizens across the Dniester river, the work of the banking system, telecommunications, etc.

The head of state highly appreciated the OSCE’s role as principal platform for negotiations and thanked for the support provided in the process of rapprochement of the positions of the two banks of Dniester, for the citizens’ benefit.
