Chisinau, 18 June /MOLDPRES/- The methodology of budget financing of public higher education institutions approved by the government will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on June 19. The methodology will be implemented from 1 January 2021.

According to the government decision, the methodology provides for the elaboration, approval, execution and reporting of the budget for all public institutions of higher education with financial autonomy. Depending on the results of the pilot, the decision will be amended at the proposal of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, or, if necessary, it will be constantly implemented.

The decision also sees that until 31 December 2020, the transition period to the functioning of state higher education institutions will be extended in terms of financial autonomy under a government decision of 2012 on functioning of state education institutions in terms of financial autonomy.
