Chisinau, 18 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Balti city hall will be placed in quarantine regime starting from today. The municipal extraordinary public health commission took a decision to this effect, after more employees of the Balti municipal administration had been confirmed with COVID-19.
„Quarantine is introduced starting from 17:00, 18 June, till 17:00, 1 July 2020. All contact people, excepting the employees whose test results for coronavirus were negative, will isolate themselves at home. The city hall’s leadership will compile a plan of measures for removing the infection hotbed, agreed upon with the Balti-based public health centre,’’ the Commission’s decision reads.
Taking into account the activity within the mobile groups of the city hall’s employees, the commission recommends that the Police Inspectorate, public health centre and the territorial agency of the National Food Safety Agency test all employees, in order to confirm the coronavirus.
At present, 841 cases of COVID-19, 32 deaths, 270 recovery cases and 1,329 people under medical supervision are confirmed in the Balti city. The city is on the second position in Moldova in terms of the contamination cases.
