Another 68 people infected with COVID-19 hospitalized in Moldova

Chisinau, 20 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS) informs that 68 people with suspicions of COVID-19 have been hospitalized in the last 24 hours.

In a press release issued today, MSMPS informed that 13,556 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus had been confirmed in Moldova, of which 1,146 in the Transnistrian region.

The health condition of the infected people is as follows: 1,097 – in medium seriousness health condition; the other patients are in satisfactory condition and 440 are in serious condition, of whom 23 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus.

So far, 2,112 infection cases have been confirmed among health system employees, of whom: 539 physicians, 834 medical assistants, 602 auxiliary staff members, 111 doctor’s or surgeon’s assistants, 26 pharmacists.

MSMPS specified that another 220 people had been treated and discharged. As many as 7,745 persons have been healed in all. Till present, 458 deaths of COVID-19 have been registered; eight people have died in the last 24 hours.
