Moldovan deputy premier meets Ukrainian envoy

Chisinau, 23 June /MOLDPRES/- On 22 June during the first official meeting between Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Cristina Lesnic and Ukrainian Ambassador to Moldova Marko Shevchenko, officials exchanged views on the current situation related to the reintegration portfolio.
According to the Bureau for Reintegration, the official visit is also part of the Moldovan-Ukrainian cooperation activities, including the follow-up visit of OSCE Special Representative of the Chairmanship-in-Office last week in Chisinau.
The deputy premier gave a retrospective on the situation regarding the implementation of the issues in the so-called Berlin Plus package, and noted the importance of ensuring sustainability of the results achieved on some past priorities, challenges and difficulties during Covid-19 pandemic, human rights and freedom of movement.
Lesnic thanked the Ukrainian side for the good cooperation and the performance of Ukrainian representative in the 5 + 2 format.
The officials expressed willingness for further cooperation and to ensure a mutually beneficial dialogue for the interests of both countries.
