Over 4,400 dwellings purchased within First Home programme in Moldova

Chisinau, 23 June /MOLDPRES/ - As many as 4,410 people have purchased dwellings within the First Home programme since 2018, when the latter was launched, and till present. Another 13 applications were accepted and guarantee contracts are to be signed.
According to data by the Finance Ministry, 3,087 out of the 4,410 beneficiaries are families and 1,323 are young unmarried people. The average age of the applicants is 31 years. Also, a number of 648 people out of all beneficiaries enjoy compensations from the state budget within the First Home 2 programme, 1,711 – within the First Home 3 programme and 357 – within the First Home 4 programme.
The average area of the dwellings bought within the programme is of 60.01 square metres. The average value of the dwellings purchased is 595.18 thousand lei. As many as 4,130 out of all dwellings are placed in urban zones and 280 – in rural ones. A number of 4,038 dwellings bought are apartments and 342 – private houses.
The overall sum of loans provided by banks within the programme is of 2.21 billion lei and the overall sum of active guarantees stand at 1.10 billion lei.
Citizens with ages between 18 and 50 years, who are officially employed at a state institution or a private company from Moldova and have incomes from official sources, can be beneficiaries of the First Home governmental programme.
