As many as 364 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 24 June /MOLDPRES/ - As many as 1,988 biological samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours, of which 364 ones proved to be positive. Thus, there are 15,078 confirmed cases of new-type coronavirus in all today.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 363 cases registered today are with local transmission and one case is of import. Most cases were registered in Chisinau – 121, followed by Balti – 39, Drochia – 18, Orhei – 16, Cahul and Ialoveni – 11 cases each, Ocnita – 6 cases.

Forty two out of the cases recorded today are medical employees: 6 physicians, 25 medical assistants and the rest are auxiliary staff employees.

At the same time, MSMPS today informed that today another five persons had died of the complications triggered by COVID-19; there are 495 people dead of this virus and 8,400 people have been healed in all.
