Epidemiological situation serious in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 25 June /MOLDPRES/ - As many as 600 beds out of the total number of 692 ones are already occupied in the sanitary institutions from the Chisinau city.
According to the deputy head of the social assistance and health department of the Chisinau city hall, Boris Gilca, with the beginning of the economic activity, an exponential growth in the number of infections is recorded in Moldova. ‘’The 600th patient infected with COVID-19 was registered in Chisinau on 25 June, which means that there are only 92 free beds in the municipal sanitary institutions,’’ Gilca said at a meeting of the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC).
The official noted that there were 2,068 hotbeds of infection in the capital. At the same time, Boris Gilca said that, at a number of 15,000 people infected recorded with COVID-19, the forecast of the real number of people infected with coronavirus would be of 150,000 persons.
At the same time, the physician specified that the opening of the Chisinau-based kindergartens would turn into public danger of infection with coronavirus.
CMC today held an extraordinary meeting and the main subject on its agenda represented hearings on the epidemiological situation in the Moldovan capital.
