The PM referred to the fact that Moldova, along with all countries of the world, was going through an economic crisis. All sectors of economic activity will be affected. The government undertakes measures to maintain the domestic consumption, preserve jobs and is focused on public investments in roads and other infrastructure, in order to create jobs and improve the living standards. Another priority of the cabinet is to industrialize Moldova through the creation of 16 industrial platforms in the country’s districts. Fifty million lei will be allocated by the government for connecting them to the communication network. Friendly conditions will be created for industrial companies to invest in Moldova.
„In June 2020, the state budget revenues equaled those from June 2019 – this is the merit of the business. A draw attention to the programme on subsidization of the payments related to salaries. Up to 300 applications worth about 12 million lei have been submitted so far and the government budgeted 300 million lei to this end. A more intense informing of economic agents is necessary; we rely on your support. Business people work for them and for the country. They take care to pay salaries, bring taxes to the budget. Business people are directly interested in the country’s development. Unfortunately, we have too much political polemic and too little discussions on the country’s modernization. I hope that this will not continue too much. The need of changes is felt in Moldova,’’ the prime minister said.
On 13 May 1999, the parliament adopted the Law on Moldova’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry. CCI is a non-governmental association, set up in order to back the business environment of Moldova.
