Demonstrative land planted with vine inaugurated at Chisinau-based Centre of Excellence in Viticulture and Winemaking

Chisinau, 26 June /MOLDPRES/ - A demonstrative plot of land planted with vine on 25 June was inaugurated at the Centre of Excellence in Viticulture and Winemaking from Chisinau. The land will be used on didactic purpose for developing practical capacities of the students who study the viticulture and winemaking sectors.
A state secretary at the Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Ministry (MADRM), Mihail Machidon, attended the ceremony on inauguration of the didactic land. He said that ‘’this area of vine plantation is a model both for pupils who study at the Centre of Excellence and for vine growers from Moldova, given that seminars, trainings, contests for applying modern technologies and developing practical skills, in line with the current requirements, will be held on this land.’’
The demonstrative vine plantation was created in 2018, on an area of about 1 hectare, where 60 per cent of the planted varieties are for wine and another 40 per cent are table grapes varieties. The works of planting, installation, agro-technical works were carried out by pupils of the viticulture and winemaking specialties and specialty teachers of the institution.
The overall value of the investments for the foundation of the didactic sector was of 120,000 lei. Thirty two thousand lei out of all sum represents the value of the planting material donated by the People in Need Moldova project of the Czech Republic and another 88,000 lei is the contribution of the Centre of Excellence.
