Negotiations for loan from Russia to begin this week

Chisinau, 29 June /MOLDPRES/- The resumption of negotiations to get a loan from the Russian Federation will be launched this week.
President Igor Dodon said today after the weekly meeting with Prime Minister Ion Chicu and Speaker Zinaida Greceanii that he will relaunch the procedure provided by law for obtaining the loan of 200 million euros from the Russian Federation.
"I will issue a decree initiating the negotiation procedures. The relaunch of the negotiations will also be discussed in the relevant commissions. We will be careful not to commit errors that could be sanctioned," he said.
At the same time, Dodon noted he had received assurances from Russian officials that Moldovan agricultural exports would continue to be exempt from taxes.
"Moldovan fruits, wines and cans will continue to be exempt from taxes in the Russian Federation," he said.
