Moldovan president has meeting with Head of OSCE Mission in Moldova

Chisinau, 29 June /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon today had a meeting with Head of the OSCE Mission in Moldova Claus Neukirch.
According to the presidential press service, the main subject discussed by the officials was the current situation in terms of the Transnistrian settlement, especially the measures of strengthening the trust between the two banks of Dniester.
The head of the OSCE Mission welcomed the progress made in the actions of fulfilling the Berlin-plus package, as well as the joint efforts of Moldova’s leadership, aimed at advancement in the settlement process.
The sides were unanimous in the opinion that all participants in the process of negotiations must further undertake joint actions, in order to contribute to the carrying out of the agreements achieved, aimed at consolidating the trust between the two banks of Dniester.
The sides also tackled the subject on the organization of a meeting between the Moldovan president and the Tiraspol administration leader, Vadim Krasnoselsky, which might take place in late July, early August 2020.
In the end of the meeting, Igor Dodon assured Claus Neukirch of the Moldovan leadership’s firm intention to defend the interests, rights and freedoms of Moldova’s citizens from both banks of Dniester and reiterated the personal interest in boosting the cooperation with OSCE.
