Over 25 million lei accumulated in Finance Ministry accounts for donations to combat COVID-19

Chisinau, 30 June /MOLDPRES/- In the accounts opened by the Ministry of Finance for donations to combat COVID-19, 25,414,401.80 lei were collected, of which: 25,102,395.06 lei, 3560 euros and 13,298 dollars.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the money was transferred to the government intervention fund. Under the government decisions No 245/2020, 250/2020, 287/2020 and 422/2020, so far financial means have been distributed worth 23.528 million lei, as donations from private people and legal entities to combat COVID-19.

Thus, by the government decision of April 10, 2020, it was ordered the allocation from this fund of 5.864 million lei for the purchase of 51,428 protective suits, as well as one-off allowances amounting to 16 thousand lei for 29 beneficiaries from 8 medical institutions and a budgetary institution, who contracted COVID-19 infection at work.

By the government decision of May 13, 2020, it was ordered the allocation from the government intervention fund of 6.544 million lei for granting one-off allowances for 409 employees in the medical system who had been infected with COVID-19.

By the government decision of June 24, 2020, it was ordered the allocation of 5.12 million lei for granting one-off allowances for 320 employees in health care who had been infected with COVID-19.
