Only way to overcome political crisis to hold snap polls - Party of Socialists says

Chisinau, 30 June /MOLDPRES/- The leadership of the PSRM parliamentary faction issued a statement condemning the departure of Ștefan Gațcan and asking him to submit his mandate. The party announces that "the only way to overcome the current political crisis is only to hold snap polls under proportional system".

In the statement, PSRM expresses indignation on the actions of the former PSRM MP Ștefan Gațcan. "His exit from the parliamentary faction of the Socialist Party with the support of which he won the election is an immoral step."

In the same context, the Party of Socialists said it excludes any negotiations with such people. "The only way to overcome the current political crisis is only to hold snap polls under the proportional system. Voters do not have to choose all kinds of characters, but to opt for political programs, values and development strategies of the country ", the document reads.

This morning, PSRM MP, elected on Hâncești constituency Ștefan Gațcan announced he is leaving the PSRM faction and joining Pro Moldova. He is the first member leaving the PSRM, so the ruling coalition PSRM-PD has 49 MPs.
