Roads from eight districts of Moldova to be repaired

Chisinau, 1 July /MOLDPRES/ - The roads from the districts of Falesti, Sangerei, Ocnita, Briceni, Soldanesti, Rezina, Ialoveni and Nisporeni will be repaired this year.   

The acting director general of the State Administration of Roads, Veaceslav Potop, today signed four construction contracts for the repair of roads from eight districts.  

Attending the ceremony, Economics and Infrastructure Minister Sergiu Railean said that the contracts’ signing represented the start of the programme, Good Roads 2020. ‘’Till next November, roads will be repaired in more than 1,200 settlements, 900 km in all,’’ Railean said.   

For his part, Veaceslav Potop said that the programme, Good Roads 2020, had seen a sum worth 1 billion 375 million lei from the state budget. ‘’This is money which allows including buying 500 working technology units and paying salaries to 5,000 workers, due to be involved in this programme,’’ Potop noted.   

Those four construction contracts were signed by the stock company Drumuri Balti (Balti Roads), which will repair roads from the Falesti and Sangerei districts, stock company Drumuri Briceni (Briceni Roads), which will repair roads in the districts of Briceni and Ocnita, Genesis International Ltd company, which will repair roads in the districts of Soldanesti and Rezina and the stock company Drumuri Ialoveni (Ialoveni Roads), which will repair roads in the Ialoveni and Nisporeni districts.
