Moldovan cabinet decision on taking responsibility for draft on amendment of state budget law published in Official Journal

Chisinau, 2 July /MOLDPRES/ - The government decision on taking responsibility for the draft law on the amendment of the state budget law was published in the Official Journal. The same issue contains all the four drafts for which the cabinet took responsibility on 1 July.  

Under the document, the amendment made to the budget sees the increase in the revenues by 52.4 million lei and of the expenses by more than 1 billion lei. At the same time, the budget deficit will increase by 1.231 billion lei.

According to the draft, most money is envisaged for the providing of a one-off allowance worth 700 lei to the pensioners and other social categories with incomes less than 3,000 lei, increases in salaries for the medical sector employees and increase in the agriculture subsidization fund by 100 million lei.  

The amendments proposed to the draft are assigned to the following sectors: social protection – 489.6 million lei; health care – 428.1 million lei; state service with general purpose – 195 million lei; economic sector – 160.5 million lei.  

The deficit of the national public budget will be of about 17.5 billion lei and the government plans to cover it from loans and grants from abroad and from additional issuance of state transferable securities.  

The other drafts on which the government took responsibility are focused on the increase in the physicians’ salaries and providing of one-off allowance to the low-income people.
