Moldovan foreign affairs minister says European agenda continues, no matter political oscillations

Chisinau, 3 July /MOLDPRES/ - Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Oleg Tulea has said that the European agenda of implementation of the Moldova – European Union Association Agreement continued, no matter the political oscillations.
The Moldovan diplomacy head today unveiled the results and priorities of the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) in implementing the provisions of the Association Agreement. Tulea said that the ‘’agenda of implementation of the Association Agreement continues, no matter the political oscillations.’’ He also said that ‘’six years after the initialing and signing of the document, Moldova has 360 EU’s acts transcribed in the national legislation and 135 are partially transcribed. Sixty six per cent of Moldova’s exports are made to EU and more than two million Moldovans visited the European Union.’’
Referring to the present debts in the implementation of the Agreement’s provisions, the official noted that he had asked for mobilization and that he had compiled a calendar for their recovery. ‘’Some of these debts are already recovered or are under recovery, such as, for instance, the assessment of the activity of the Audiovisual Council or of the Competition Council, where we work with Council of Europe experts,’’ Tulea said.
At the same time, the minister said that the state’s priority was dealing with the turning to good account of the Easter Partnership’s potential and actions were undertaken to consolidate actions with Ukraine and Georgia, ‘’in order to get a joint action within the Eastern Partnership.’’
The Moldovan parliament ratified the Association Agreement with the European Union on 2 July 2014.
