Moldovan cabinet earmarks 71.3 million lei for construction of National Arena

Chisinau, 3 July /MOLDPRES/ - The government today approved a decision on the allocation of 71.3 million lei to the National Arena Limited Company for increasing the registered share capital.

Prime Minister Ion Chicu said that the money was provided for in the state budget for 2020, at a request by the Public Property Agency - sole shareholder of the National Arena Limited Company. The money will be earmarked for increasing the registered share capital.

Thus, 66 million lei will be allocated for the reimbursement of the investment made by the private partner at the construction of the Chisinau Arena object and another 5.2 million lei – to increase the registered share capital of the National Arena Ltd company for 2020, in which the state is the sole shareholder.

The Chisinau Arena complex was to be made available for use on 14 October 2019, on the Chisinau Dedication Day. Yet, the inauguration of the complex was postponed more times.
