As many as 539 people sick with COVID-19 under treatement in hospitals from Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 6 July /MOLDPRES/ - As many as 539 patients sick with coronavirus are under treatment in medical institutions from Moldova’s capital.

At a today’s meeting of the Chisinau city hall’s services, the head of the social assistance and health department, Tatiana Bucearschi, has said that 539 out of 692 beds of the municipal hospitals were occupied. Eighty eight people of the hospitalized ones are in serious health condition, 263 are in medium seriousness condition and 169 are in satisfactory condition.   

The official noted that 5,803 COVID-19 cases had been registered in the Chisinau city since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, i.e. 32.6 per cent of all cases in Moldova. A number of 2,704 people have been treated and 165 died.   

Also, 355 employees of Chisinau-based medical institutions’ were infected with coronavirus.
