Moldovan deputy premier meets Romania's Ambassador

Chisinau, 6 July /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Cristina Lesnic today had a meeting with Ambassador of Romania to Moldova Daniel Ionita, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
Cristina Lesnic expressed thanks for the medical assistance provided to Moldova for the management of the Covid-19 humanitarian crisis, stressing that the Moldovan side was solidary with the states hit by the new-type coronavirus. The official informed that the special recommendations by the World Health Organization (WHO) on the sanitary situation had been sent by the constitutional authorities to Tiraspol and OSCE Mission.
The officials exchanged opinions on the results of a visit by the OSCE Special Representative to Chisinau, the subjects contained in the Berlin Plus package, dynamic of the Chisinau-Tiraspol dialogue, effects of the Transnistrian region’s self-isolation and impact of the extension of the term of restricting of the free movement till 30 September 2020.
A distinct subject was focused on the freedom of movement in the Security Zone and the present situation as to the setting of those 37 illegal posts in the Transnistrian region, which create difficulties to the residents from both banks of Dniester and endanger the human rights. The arrogation of the powers of control, record and verification of the population by Tiraspol in the perimeter of the administrative line is illegal, just as the new mobile and fixed posts, set without the agreement of the Joint Control Commission, Cristina Lesnic said. She highlighted that the security in the Security Zone was presently the main concern for the Moldovan government.
The deputy prime minister noted that she was in permanent touch with the development partners. Lesnic informed about the obstructing of the Chisinau-Tiraspol dialogue and expressed openness at the institutional level for permanent cooperation and interaction.
