Chisinau, 8 July /MOLDPRES/ - The government will not withdraw from parliament the draft laws for which it has taken responsibility. Prime Minister Ion Chicu made statements to this effect in the beginning of a today’s cabinet meeting.
The PM reiterated the proposal to the representatives of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) to come up with proposals for the subsequent rectification of the state budget. ‘’If they come up with good proposals, I think that we can accept,’’ Chicu said.
„I reiterate that the government took responsibility legally and fully in the interests of the citizens. Therefore, we will not withdraw from parliament the drafts which see the increase in the salaries of the physicians, covering the deficit of salary payment for teachers and many other things. The government is not the underling of the parliament or other state power. We will go to parliament as many time as necessary, but the concerned drafts will cover the constitutional way. I will go to parliament on 9, 10 July, unless the lawmakers are aware that they must be busy with the citizens’ things,’’ Chicu added.
