Chisinau-Tiraspol sectoral working group in agriculture, environment field holds meeting

Chisinau, 9 July /MOLDPRES/ - The working group for agriculture and environmental protection today held a meeting in videoconference format at the headquarters of the OSCE Mission in Moldova, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.  

Chisinau proposed for discussion a string of issues on the management of the Dniester river basin, as well as in the land and forest cadaster sector.

The sides also discussed aspects on the establishment of periods of prohibition for fishing in the Dniester river basin on the period of natural reproduction of hydrobionts, with the elaboration of the concerned recommendations, combating of poaching and illegal fishing on the periods of prohibition set and establishment of an action plan for the multiplication of fish of diverse species in the Dniester river.  

The sides reiterated the need to ensure a dynamic activity within the sectoral working groups and the full carrying out of the commitments taken.  

Chisinau informed about Moldova’s goals as to the forest cadaster, with the carrying out of a national forest inventory planned. The training of specialists from the Transnistrian region was proposed to this end.
