Chisinau, 10 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau city hall will no longer allow the construction of fuel supply stations in the central and ultra-central zones of Moldova’s capital.
The Chisinau deputy mayor, Victor Chironda, today said that there were 40 fuel supply stations in Chisinau – a too large number for the area and number of the Moldovan capital’s citizens.
Chironda noted that he would back the municipal councilors’ initiative, according to which the construction of fuel supply stations would be allow only in industrial zones. ‘’This will reduce the noxious substances emitted in Chisinau and will contribute to the city’s ecology,’’ Chironda added.
As many as 235 fuel supply stations are placed on the territory of the Chisinau city and suburban settlements.
