Moldova's citizens denied entrance to Hungary

Chisinau, 13 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Hungarian authorities have announced new measurers as to the entering of Hungary. Thus, the Moldovan citizens will be denied entrance to this state after 15 July 2020.
According to Moldova’s Embassy in Budapest, the new measures will enter into force on 15 July this year and regard the classification of the origin states and nationals according to three categories: red, yellow and green and hence, the limiting of the crossing of the border by the people who arrive from these countries, respectively: green zone – the entrance is allowed with no restrictions, yellow zone – entrance allowed with restrictions and red zone – entrance banned.
Information unveiled by the Hungarian authorities shows that Moldova was included in the list of states from the red zone and as a result, Moldova’s citizens are denied entrance to Hungary. Besides Moldova, the red zone includes Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Belarus, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Ukraine, as well as other countries from Asia, Africa and South America.
The transit traffic and the goods transport, as well as the official trips represent exceptions from these rules. The Hungarian cabinet will re-evaluate the lists of the countries on each Wednesday and if necessary, their content can be changed.
