Moldovan president promulgates set of laws for which government took responsibility

Chisinau, 13 July /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon today announced on his official page that he had promulgated the package of laws for which the government took responsibility before parliament.  

According to the quoted source, the documents promulgated today provide for making amendments to the law on the single salary payment system in the public sector, state budget law for 2020, state social insurances budget for 2020 and law on mandatory health insurance accounts for 2020.  

Thus, following the amendments made, the salaries of medical staff from medical institutions will increase in several stages: by 30 per cent as of 1 September 2020; by another 30 per cent starting from 1 January 2021 and by 40 per cent – in first half of the next year. Also, the beneficiaries of pensions and state social allocations, the quantum of which does not exceed 3,000 lei, will enjoy a one-off support worth 700 lei.

The economic agents will benefit from subsidies on behalf of the state through increasing allocations for: national fund of development of agriculture and rural environment +100 million lei; loans’ guaranteeing fund for the sector of small- and medium-sized enterprises +50 million lei. The government will earmark 50 million lei for the development of the entrepreneurial infrastructure at the free economic zones; at the same time, the cabinet will allocate 20 million lei for the First Home state programme.

The head of state specified that about one million citizens would benefit from financial support on behalf of the state in all, following the enforcement of the concerned laws.

Once these laws promulgated, the government will start the procedures of their carrying out.
