Moldova's Fiscal Service verifies selling prices of socially important goods

Chisinau, 14 July /MOLDPRES/ – The State Fiscal Service (SFS), during 1 march – 30 June 2020, carried out 1,556 verifications at units for sale of food products and drug stores/pharmaceutical warehouses The controls took place, in order to prevent the infringement of the provisions of the Government Decision No 774 from 2016 on the selling prices for socially important goods.
As a result, 179 cases of infringement of the way of formation of price were established, through exceeding the trade markup applied, set by the legislation in force.
The fiscal control was given the final touches at 125 tax payers, with illicit income established as a result of the exceeding of the trade markup admissible in the overall sum of 183,326 lei.
For the infringements discovered, the sum of the illicit income got is collected to the budget, including a fine is to be imposed worth 100 per cent of the sum of the illicit calculated income.
The State Fiscal Service warns that control actions will be weekly carried out at economic agents from the sectors earlier mentioned, in order to establish the way the provisions of the Government Decision No 774 from 20 June 2016 are observed.
Under the regulation on the formation of the selling prices for the socially important goods, such goods are included in this category: certain types of bread, dairy products, cereals, flour, oil, preparations for newly-born children and small children, etc.
