Chisinau, 14 July /MOLDPRES/ - The economic problems faced by the residents of the Hagimus village, eastern Causeni district, because of the restrictions imposed by Tiraspol, have been discussed at a meeting held on the spot by Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Cristina Lesnic. Hagimus is a settlement situated in the immediate neighbourgood of the Bender city, in the Security Zone, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
The local administration on 10 July 2020 notified the Reintegration Policies Bureau about multiple security problems and dealing with the sale of farming products and free movement, as more Hagimus residents are employed in Bender.
Cristina Lesnic on 13 July went on the spot and held a meeting with petitioners, the Causeni district’s leadership, Police Inspectorate, joint military command of the joint peacekeeping forces, high-level EU adviser. The participants in the meeting considered difficulties faced by the residents from the settlement, as well as of the Security Zone, in general. The participants in the meeting agreed on boosting preventive measures.
Also, the deputy PM for reintegration moved, along with representatives of the local public administration and de-concerted services, to the locations were most difficulties were notified.
We remind that, under the most recent decisions by Tiraspol, the people who cross the administrative line are obliged to undergo new procedures, which, according to Chisinau, have no role of ‘’sanitary posts’’, taking into account that ‘’border guards’’ forces are placed.
Tiraspol has earlier imposed restrictions at the crossing of the administrative line and illegally set 37 control posts in the Security Zone, hindering the movement of residents from more settlements, about 50,000 people in all.
