Moldovan president summons meetings with heads of competent commissions of Civil Society Council

Chisinau, 15 July /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon on 14 July summoned a working meeting with the heads of the competent commissions of the Civil Society Council under the President of Moldova.
According to the presidential press service, the participants in the meeting exchanged opinions on the present situation in the social, economic, political, health sectors, etc. They highlighted more problems faced by the society and launched proposals to solve them.
The Council members welcomed the package of social laws for which the government took responsibility and due to which about one million Moldova’s citizens will benefit from financial support on behalf of the state. Also, the participants in the meeting appreciated the new system of pensions’ recalculation, launched in July, this year.
In another context, the Moldovan president pointed out the work of the commissions for health, social protection, protection of family, mother and child; education, mass media and communication, inter-ethnic relations from the Council, which came up with concrete updated proposals and recommendations on improving the Moldova 2030 National Development Strategy.
In the end of the meeting, Igor Dodon expressed confidence that the dialogue between the presidential team and the civil society was welcome and must be continued, in order to identify the best solutions, which would lead to a better work of the state’s institutions, improvement of people’s living standards and Moldova’s modernization.
