Moldovan premier discusses with Ambassador of Romania

Chisinau, 15 July /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today had a meeting with Ambassador of Romania to Moldova Daniel Ionita. The officials exchanged opinions on the evolution of the epidemiological situation in the region and actions necessary for re-launching the economy, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

In the context, the sides reiterated the openness and importance of strengthening the strategic partnership between Moldova and Romania. The PM expressed thanks to the Romanian nation for the support provided during the COVID-19 pandemic, noting that this fact reconfirmed the friendly relations between the two countries.

In the end of the meeting, the officials reconfirmed both states’ willingness to deepen the bilateral friendly relations, aimed at improving the living standards of Moldova’s and Romania’s citizens.
