Moldovan PM has meeting with Ambassador of Germany

Chisinau, 15 July /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today had a dialogue with Ambassador of Germany to Moldova Angela Ganninger. The officials tackled priority subjects on the bilateral agenda and actions due to be undertaken for the development of the partnership relations.
According to the government’s communication and protocol department, the PM appreciated the constant support provided to Moldova by Germany, for the development of the national economy, technical and financial assistance for the implementation of social projects, including through the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), which is a key partner for the carrying out of reforms.
In particular, Ion Chicu stressed the importance of the expertise provided by the German Economic Team (GET), which offers consultancy to the government in the reformation of the economic policies and sustainable development of the economic framework. On the period of the pandemic, GET presented the findings of an analysis of the economic impact of the epidemiological crisis in Moldova.
In the context of the crisis recorded against the background of the COVID-19 pandemic, the prime minister reiterated the cabinet’s intention to maintain a friendly investment climate in Moldova, noting the actions carried out to this end. Also, Ion Chicu reconfirmed the government’s determination to continue the reforms needed for the European integration.
