Cabinet to negotiate Moldovan-French convention on avoidance of double taxation

Chisinau, 15 July /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet members today ruled to negotiate the convention between the governments of Moldova and France on the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion as to the income taxes. An official delegation was empowered to this end, led by a state secretary at the Finance Ministry, Dorel Noroc.
This convention is aimed at developing the economic relations between the two states, both in the field of eliminating the double taxation of private people and legal entities, and in order to attract foreign investments.
„The Convention’s provisions are focused on the creation of fiscal systems which would coordinate the actions related to the taxation between the two countries, as well as eliminating the fiscal discrimination in any form, which will provide friendly conditions for the carrying out of the external economic activity and strengthening the economic relations,’’ Deputy Prime Minister, Finance Minister Serghei Puscuta said.
Presently, Moldova enforces conventions on avoidance of double taxation with 50 states.
