Mayoralty of district 6 from Bucharest allocates money for reconstruction of Chisinau-based park

Chisinau, 16 July /MOLDPRES/ - The mayoralty of the district 6 from Bucharest has allocated financial resources for the reconstruction of the Alunelul Park from Chisinau.  

According to information unveiled by the Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, who attended the starting of the works, this second stage of the Alunelul Park’s reconstruction will last 90 days. On this period, infrastructure works will be carried out: the construction of two artesian wells, arranging green areas, setting an  irrigation system, public and decorative illumination, as well as of the urban furniture.  

The works of reconstruction of the Alunelul Park, provided for in the second stage, will be financed by the mayoralty of the district 6 of the Bucharest municipality, which provides 846,000 euros for the project’s implementation. The Chisinau municipality’s investment will be of 102,000 euros and consists in the arrangement of the multifunctional sports ground.   

Ion Ceban received assurances from the people in charge of the project that the works on the park’s renovation would be carried out according to the schedule approved. ‘’I thank the mayor of Bucharest’s district 6, Gabriel Mutu, for support. Thus, the Local Council of the district 6 approved the project’s financing and the agreement on grant is to be approved at a meeting due on 30 July,’’ Ceban said.   

The first phase of the Alunelul Park’s reconstruction was finished in October 2019. The works regarded the arrangement of alleys from the leisure zone and setting of new kerb stones. Also, the granite staircase from the main entrance into the park was renovated. As much as 4.6 million lei was earmarked from the municipal budget on this purpose.
