Moldovan MPs stand silent for one minute in memory of physicians dead of COVID-19

Chisinau, 16 July /MOLDPRES/ - The MPs, at a today’s parliament meeting, stood silent for one minute in the memory of the medical employees who had died while fulfilling their job duties for the treatment of patients sick with COVID-19.    

Parliament Speaker Zinaida Greceanii said that the medical employees deserved every appreciation for their full willingness to be in the first line in the fight against the pandemic and to rescue human lives.   

So far, 20,040 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus have been confirmed in Moldova; 662 people died, of whom 28 medical system employees.
