Chisinau, 17 July /MOLDPRES/ - The fines for the infringement of the public health measures might be diminished. The parliament approved a draft on the amendment of the contravention code in the first reading on 16 July.
Following the amendments, decision-makers will decrease the quantum of fines imposed for committing contraventions stipulated in the contravention code for the non-observance of the measures of prophylaxis of the prevention or combating of epidemic diseases, if they endangered the public health.
Thus, the fines will be cut from 400-500 conventional units at present to 50-150 conventional units for private people and from 1,000-1,500 conventional units to 300-700 conventional units - for legal entities.
At the same time, the MPs suggest that fines of 50-150 conventional units be imposed for the deliberate presentation of false or incomplete data or refusal to unveil needed data for the filling in of the epidemiological card.
