Moldova's Action and Solidarity Party puts forward candidate for presidential elections due next autumn

Chisinau, 18 July /MOLDPRES/ - Maia Sandu, the leader of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), is the formation’s candidate for the presidential elections due on 1 November 2020. The PAS leadership took a decision to this effect.

After nomination, the PAS leader said that her ‘’duty is to clean the country of politicians who see Moldova as a bottomless bag.’’

“This nomination is an honour for me, as well as a great responsibility. Together, we will work for a rich country, a country where the law is one for everybody and the justice is at the head of the table,’’ Maia Sandu said.

The presidential elections will be held in Moldova on 1 November 2020. The leader of the Dignity and Truth Platform Party (PPDA), Andrei Nastase, the candidate of the Union Movement, Dorin Chirtoaca, and the leader of the National Unity Party, Octavian Ticu, have informed that they would run for the office of Moldovan president so far.
