Moldovan president has online discussion with head of IMF monitoring mission in Moldova

Chisinau, 21 July /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon on 20 July had an online discussion with the head of the monitoring mission of the International Monetary Fund in Moldova, Ruben Atoyan, and the IMF resident representative in Moldova, Volodymyr Tulin, following online consultations held with representatives of the government, National Bank of Moldova (BNM) and other decision-makers, the presidential press service has reported.
The officials summed up the work of the IMF representatives, assessed the parameters of the future memorandum of cooperation. Afterwards, the sides will start the elaboration and signing of the cooperation programme for a three-year period.
Also, the interlocutors discussed the completion of the reform of the financial and banking sector, maintaining the independent status of the BNM, budgetary and fiscal policy, energy policy, combating corruption and strengthening the rule of law state.
