Moldovan parliament makes amendments to contravention code

Chisinau, 21 July /MOLDPRES/ - The fines imposed for the non-observance of the prophylaxis measures of prevention and/or combating of epidemic diseases, if they endangered the public health, will be decreased. The MPs approved a draft law on the amendment of the contravention code in the first reading on 20 July.

Thus, the quantum of the fine will be decreased from 450-500 convention units at present to 50-150 units for private people and from 1,000 to 300 conventional units for legal entities.

At the same time, the parliament suggests that the quantum be changed from 50 to 150 conventional units for deliberate presentation of false or incomplete data or refusal to present needed data for filling in the epidemiological card. Presently, the fine varies between 450 and 500 conventional units.
