Moldovan president has working meeting with Chisinau general mayor

Chisinau, 21 July /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon today had a working meeting with the Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban. The two officials discussed more subjects of major importance for the capital’s residents, the presidential press service has reported.    

Taking into account the still tense pandemic situation, the interlocutors initially referred to the actions undertaken by the municipal authorities to combat and prevent the population’s infection with coronavirus.  

The sides also reviewed more activities undertaken by the city hall on the last period. The head of state appreciated the disassembling and evacuation of illegally set advertising panels, evacuation of vehicles abandoned on Moldovan capital’s streets, launch of works of cleaning the Bic river’s bed, projects on infrastructure and arrangement of public areas.

At the same time, the president collected facts about the process of rehabilitation of the Albisoara Street and sidewalks on G. Banulescu-Bodoni and Pushkin Streets – projects for which 100 million lei was earmarked, at his initiative.  

Igor Dodon encouraged Ion Ceban to continue implementing the projects underway in the same pace, assuring him of the full support on behalf of the presidential institution.
